Anamnesis
The denotations of this piece are vast. It is a large image dominated by green. Towering near the top of the picture is a large skyscraper-like castle building. It's covered in green moss and overgrowth. Above it the clouds are thick and dark. Below there is a small person with wings walking with their back to the viewer towards the building. The person is walking through a large rocky ravine and approaching heavy green vegetation, a waterfall with many thin streams and an old overgrown gazebo-like structure on the right with Roman style pillars. The person is wearing a white dress, with a halo above their head and gold feather-like wings.

This work's connotations can be interpreted in many ways. What is the building, who is the person, and why is the person headed towards this looming structure? Strong fantasy elements are present, the building displays ideas of history and age.  The person can be interpreted as being feminine, with the white dress, exposed legs, and shoulder length hair.  Perhaps she is an angel, or a fairy in another world.  She seems small and unimportant compared to the building, the large trees, and the running waterfall in the background.  She almost seems like an innocent newcomer to this new beautiful world.  Is she excited to venture into this new territory, or is she scared and apprehensive?  


Chronoscope: highway to hell
This is an image of destruction. There are four vehicles central to the work, in the middle is a silver SUV, impaled by two large I-beams through it's roof, towards the bottom of the vehicle. It is elevated on its front tires, its lights are on and glass is flying away from it's windshield. To the left is a gray car, it's light's dimly lit, it's seemingly unharmed. Behind and to the right of the SUV is another car of dark color, lights on, it's tilted up at a 45 degree angle on its passenger side.  There appears to be fire either striking or coming from it's hood.  Behind and to the right of this car is a large eight wheeled truck.  The truck appears to have a red cab and a green rear, it's upside down with fire erupting from below it.  The ground is red and covered in debris, fire burns in the distance, the sky is black with clouds of grey rolling in the background.  There are multiple I-beams flying through the air, one has struck the ground right in front of the SUV, standing almost straight up.

The SUV is devoid of markings but judging from the design it is clearly a Jeep Wrangler.  The car to the left has a recognizable insignia, its an Eagle Vision.  The car and truck to left look somewhat generic.  With all the fire and destruction in the image it can be interpreted as a scene of ruin.  The driver of the Jeep is most likely dead, impaled by one of the beams.  Although the focus is only on four vehicles it can be seen that the destruction is vast, some horrible explosion or unknown evil has occurred.  Thoughts of the end of the world images come to mind.  Movies like The Day After Tomorrow and the upcoming 2012 look much like this.
