I started with a photo I took with a fairly neutral background.
Instead of using a mask I used the polygon lasso tool to cut the bottle and delete the inverse image.
I then duplicated the bottle, flipped it vertically, and positioned it directly below the original.
I then selected the outer portion of the flipped image and used inverse selection to select the bottle. I applied a normal gradient with a reversed transparency at 80% opacity. I used an eraser with 10% hardness and the blur tool to blend the bottom to soften it.
